[bolger] chine bevels
FBBB --
I ripped my chines with a skilsaw and a rip-guide in about 5 minutes.
I'm sure it would take longer to measure out the weird shape that
gives the JB it's plumb sides.
If you want a fast-to-put-together boat, look at plans that have
parallel shear and chines when the panel is laid flat. Much easier to
rips a bevelled cut than laying out a grid, measuring, etc (not that
that is hard.)
As far as the weight of a teal, mine's got glass on the bottom as
well as the seams, and my wife was more than able to help me get it
off the car when she was 8 months prego.
