Lost Coin started out as a Micro Trawler, but somehow turned into a
heavyweight mini-tug-- without any help from PCB. She's a nice boat, but the
virtues of the step sharpie hull are lost when you pile on more than a ton
of extra weight. Lost Coin won't get up onto a plane at all, even with 50
hp.
Spike is a cutie! I saw her (him?) at Port Townsend a few years a go, but
don't know how she came to be. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that
Daniel started with a Bolger hull design of some sort, then let his
imagination have free rein...
