Re: Mini-Tugs

Pete,
Thanks.

I'm familiar with Berkeley Eastman's designs; I've had plans for his
'Perfect 10' for a couple of years. I even bought a utility trailer to
build her on.

I'm looking at the Glen-L catalog and the photo of 'SPIKE' - they seem
to be identical. Either way, I sent a note to Alan Locke asking for Dan
Taylor's 'e-address'. She is certainly, "Smart as paint !!".

[PS: Hopefully, I'll get 'QUAHOG' on the mooring in the next week, or
so. It would be nice to have a little 'mooring tender' join her by the
end of the summer.]

Pete,

The photo's were very interesting. Especially the fact that they were
taken, 'under way'.

The foredeck inlay is exactly the same pattern -except for size - as is
on the top of my wife's gun case !! We used to be competitive Trap
shooters, and a friend of ours built them. They moved years ago, and I'd
like to make her a new case.

Secondly. I won't refute that there is no end to Phil Bolger's
abilities, however, the smaller tug looks very much like a design called
"Tubby Tug" by Glen-L {or Clarkcraft ?}. She still looks great - who
ever gets the 'credit' for the design.

Either way, I'd like to 'talk' to the gentleman - I think 'SPIKE' is
just what I am looking for as a 'mooring tender'. Do you happen to know
his 'e-address'?
