Anyway, using a Big Mac as the exchange counterpoint is not so bad n
idea, as it injects some reality. Working in India, lo these many years
ago, one rupee would buy you, in real terms, about what an Oz dollar
would buy (eg reasonable meal 15 Rs, a BIG banana, cup of coffee etc).
Exchange rate was 15 -20 rupees to the dollar.

Further examples: a freehold, freestanding inner city house in Adelaide
goes for about 100-200,000 BMUs (Big mac Units), in Sydney for 5x to 10x
that. A 23 ft new GRP trailer sailor is about 28,000 BMUs. Etc
