Thanks
for another good article Chuck!
I
don't know how many times I remeasured the side pieces on my Windsprint; and
made sure out is out and in is in; At least 3-4 times. And for those
of you who know the design, it would be just about impossible to screw up
Windsprint sides (except for me, of course). I've built many shelves that
started out with one width dimension and ended up with something
else.
Now
for a foible of my own, not major, but annoying all the
same:
On the
Teal, Windsprint, etc boats where the sides come out of a straight cut of
plywood, and three pieces typically come out of a sheet, how do you account for
the amount of wood in the kerf of the saw blade? I tried splitting hairs
and actually came out OK (I had to plane just a bit in the junctions) but it
seems that there would be a better way. In any case, I look forward to
others explanations of why their boats have 15 19/32nd
sides.
