Fast Motorsailer revisions scan

I found it and added the scan of the NEW FAst Motorsailor to the
files section of my freeboatexchange group at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freeboatexchange/files/
Changes include gaff main, jib, centerboard deleted in favor of lee
boards, dual rudders, etc. All in a very nice package.

You may be right when it comes to articles, McLeans, a Canadian
version of Time, needed that ammount of lead time for my article on
preserving war monuments to be run around Remberance Day, Nov. 11.

I'm hoping that the "events" section which is mostly text has more
leeway. We'll see.

Bruce Hector
who was going to sign as BH, but that could be confusing.

No extra places but I think WB needs about a 6 month lead time. I
could be wrong...

There were recent (less than 12 months) photos in MAIB of a Fast
Motorsailor completed in Europe and being cruised about on the
Baltic. Changes included sponsons, a club footed jib, and more. I
can't find the article here, so I'll search at home tonight. It was
definitely getting pretty close to cool!

Where new details about the September Messabout are posted
frequently. Today press releases were sent about the event to
Woodenboat, MAIB and Duckworks. Any suggestions for more rags to
submit the release to for inclusion in their callenders?

I hope a Fast Motorsailor shows up.

John Welsford pointed out that the America's Cup boats are shaped
much like the Bolger sharpies. Especially the I60, I should think. In
you place, I would brace myself for an aggressive number.

That' the original Fast Motorsailer. The newer version (featured in BWAOM?) uses a box keel.

Hmm, I wonder what the PHRF rating of an Insolent 60 is going to
be.... :-)

(or the MORC rating of a "His and Her" Schooner)

Hmmm, I wonder what the PHRF rating of a Breakdown schooner would be?

Peter
I just found this web site, with among other things a picture of the Fast
Motorsailer with a sail, first I have run across. You Insolent 60 future
builders will be interested in the Breakdown Schooner pictures. You
probably already knew about the site anyway.
