... interesting, but with that 'keel' having most of its area so far forward and the weight of the engine and crew so far aft, my suspicion is that driving it would be like fitting an arrow to the bow backwards and then trying to hit a target; i.e. it would be almost impossible to control as soon as the keel started dipping into a chop or wake.
