Re: $875 in Superbrick pot

The latest pledges and a drop in the US Greenback vs the Euro have
driven the Superfund $875 as of 0830 hrs EST.

The donors and ammounts are:
Bruce Hector $100
Bruce Hallman $100
Craig O'Donnel $10
Peter Lenihan $14 (he posted 20 Cdn. which we all know is almost
worthless, but we'll take it anyways)
David Ryan raises to $100 (challenges all in group to pledge at least
$25 and then someone can build it at a profit!)
Duckworks Magazine $100 (some people will do ANYTHING for decent
Superbrick building article)
J. W. Kelley $25 (extra e added, sorry)
Jeff at cosailor pledges $25
Jim Pope added $25
Rav Davis, Georgia pledged $20
Scott Backen Volcano, CA added $20
Peter Page threw in 20 Australian which my currency converter says is
about $12 US
John Kohnen add a sawbuck, er, $20 (of the famous mother of all
maritime links fame)
David Romasco $50 , of Antispray fame, ("n" dropped, oops)
Steve Paskey, Tacoma Pk, MD, $50
Bill Turnbull, $25
Justin Meddock, Durham, NC $25
Ken Locarnini $25
MArk A. $10
Pep Cruells, Barcelona, Spain, the big spender of the group pledges
100 Euros, which my converter pegs at $114 UD greenbacks!

Total: $875 (which will fluctuate slightly with the fate of the
Greenback based on how well the Australian Dollar, The Canadian
Dollarette and the Euro perform.)

All donors who actually cough up the bucks when the time comes earn
the right to a ride in the Superbrick. A pledgers who don't actually
cough up the bucks will be invited to the world's first keelhauling
aboard a Bolger Superbrick!

I am, of course, still actively soliciting more pledges. Email me off
line or post them for the world to see, if you're brave enough!

Messabout in Kingston, Ontario. I'm beginning to think there just
could be a Superbrick in attendamce. Anyone care for a boat building
bee (remember barn raising bees, where a group of farmers woul raise
a barn in one day? One day! Maybee we can build it on the beach at
the Messabout and launch her in the p.m.?

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freeboatexchange/where the joining of
an AS 29 and a Martha Jane have caused a recent flurry of join up,
the group is over 146 now. Surfing through the members list really
shows how ecclectic and international it is.

Bruce, do count this lurker in Barcelona, Spain, in for 100 Euros. A
suggestion for the rules: the Superbrick should be available as a
Boat Exchange member. If I had a big place I'd build it myself.

pep
Bruce will the Messabout be in Kingston every year? What I want to
bring won't be ready for a few years yet. BTW you forgot the second e
