Re: May God Have Mercy On Your Souls

Oh no! Bad advice! Even more choices, and you can have room to have 10
or 15 projects at once. And mostly they're harder to do than the boats.
I think I once calculated that you could spend $2000 per board foot on
balsa if you got the fanciest kind (say .008", 4.5lb/ft^3 propellor
stock, I think)

(evil laugh...) heh, heh, heh. your padded cell is on order chooch!
meanwhile...

So think of it just like cleaning oil out of a teflon coated frypan.
Use soapy water & a soft rag/sponge first to avoid scratching the
epoxy, & rinse really well. If that doesn't work, add a bit of ammonia
& try again. Only if that doesn't work do you use a scourer with the
soapy water. Gently. Amine's only a waxy film, not baked-on caramel.
I prefer to use the cheapest nylon scourers available. Scotch-brite
(TM) of any grade is overkill on the wallet.

I'd suggest the HD on the portiside and the other one on the
starboard. Then YOU can give us a report on which is more effective,
easiest, speediest, and most cost effective.

I'd like that report in my mail box by DAWN sailor!
