Elrow LaRowe--was common sense designs

The first Bolger boat plans I bought were for the
lovely streched version of the Gull dory. I bought
the plans because I wanted a good boat under oars.
When I looked at the plans, I saw they were drawn for
"Elrow LaRowe." Elrow LaRowe! He comissioned a
rowboat? I assumed this design had been drawn on
spec. and that "Elrow LaRowe" was a Bolger pun. I
have since been convinced otherwise (I guess). But
what a great name. It would be like Chebacco being
commissioned by Breezy McZephyr or the Tortoise by
Snappy T. Terrapin.
By the way (although this horse has been beaten
far beyond the grave), if being strong willed and
opinionated makes a person a Nazi, we've got a pretty
good start on the 4th Riech right on this board. I
don't want to contribute further, but I feel compelled
to note that SA has been unfailingly helpful and
gracious to me in my dealings with PB&F. Sam
