We are using Xenon on the bottom of the Gulls we are building. Our
beaches are very rough, and the extra abrasion resistance is needed.
Just have it on one so far, I laid it on dry and Squeegeed epoxy through
with a spreader. I was worried about it floating, so I squeegeed it out
well. Took LOTS of epoxy and took amazing bends without needing darts.
Laid down very nicely. After it set up a bit I tried to put on a thick
layer of epoxy using a roller to level it out. It came out very uneven,
like the thick weave was releasing air bubbles. It can be sanded smooth
but I hate doing that. One of the things God made gravity for was to
level out epoxy on a flat surface so you don't have to sand it.
Vince Chew (I think it was him) said something about using a 3rd of a
roller (cut length ways) mounted on a handle to spread the epoxy rather
than rolling it. I might give that a try, will listen to any other
advice too.
