big regatta. A LHF Rozinante started in a class ahead of us, and we
caught her on the beat. We set a chute and went charging down the run
and the Rozinante kept up with us, and perhaps closed a little, under
working sail. It didn't **look** like she was sailing fast at all.
Of course, you have your Chebacco equipped with one of those rule-
cheating, four-sided sails.

Well, I towed my first boat sunday. A 30 ft or so racing scow had been dismasted do to a forstay problem, and the three crew members
were trying to paddle and blowing a wistle. The were passed by at least 12 power boats in the 15 minutes or so it took me to sail
upwind to them.
The 6hp high thrust tohatsu pulled us both at 5.5 mph. Not to bad.
Boy, how embarasing it must have been to be towed into thier marina by a homemade boat!
Anyway. Earlier I ran downwind, hugging the shore to avoid getting in the way of the Regata that was going on. One of the commitee
boats come up and asked a bunch of questions, saying I was pretty fast off the wind. I guess I was running faster than the people
racing on the downwind leg with spinakers...
Nice feeling!
