Regarding Paradox, I too have often wondered about these somewhat
Bolgeresque boats, and what Bolger would think of them. The photo I see
online almost looks like a widened, decked over June Bug (do ya think?).
Links to sketches show it to be pretty much square in section, with external
chine logs.
