Re: More Superply

I built a Junebug out of 1/4" Superply. I'm pretty sure the 4 sheets
I bought used 2 different types of wood for the surface veneers, a
darker and a lighter wood. The seats and decks started to check
fairly soon after I launched the boat but haven't come back after I
filled and repainted. I haven't seen checking anywhere else.

It was mentioned on the DW forum that the outer plys in the 1/4" are 1.5mm. That's the
same as BS 1088.

Googling _guatambu_ brought up some hits on hardwood flooring, which may confirm it keeps
a decent finish.
