According to my GPS my former Micro "Firefly" sailed around 4kts
consistently with an occasional burst to 5 kts. As Peter said, when
it heels, it goes faster (longer waterline). But, you will notice
that the hole in the water where she sails just gets deeper as the
wind picks up. It really is a displacement sloop.
It is respectable, and a great boat for bashing around the bays.
