The 12' 6" _Japanese Beach Cruiser_ shown in BWAOM has good lines up to about 800
pounds displacement. Much more looks like it might leave the upper chine still clear of
the water, but not the ends, especially the bow, and that will certainly impinge on rough
water ability.

How much does your bare hull weigh?

The underwater section, the canoe body, is near enough to lean enough for a decent,
electric boat.

While the heavier 6v batteries hold a lot of power, ganging up the lighter 12v, 105 ah
deep cycles can be very effective and worth considering, esp. if your motor has the PWM (
Maximizer ) type controller. Two of those weighs120 pounds.
