Re: First Launch
Susan,
I'll post some photos when we get the film developed. Maybe Santa
will bring me a digital camera!

Hey Ken,
That's great. There are VERY few things in life as satisfying as
launching a boat you made. But getting compliments from strangers
about it is a close second.
Congratulation! How about some photos?

Hi All,
My Cartopper is done and the weather cooperated, so we launched her
today. No leaks and she rows well. My wife and a couple friends
from work were there. After the initial test run, my wife climbed
in the boat and took a short ride with me. One work friend had to
go and he left before we returned to shore. My secretary didn't
want to ride in the boat, so we BS'd a while on shore. While we
were there, two bikini clad cuties hung out and were admiring the
boat! I think they wanted to go for a spin. I'm not sure if my
wife would approve of this! The guy with the storebought kayak who
was hitting on them probably wished he built his boat! After my
secretary and the two chicks left, my wife and I went for another
tour of the lake.
We had several people admire the boat, even when she was on the
trailer. My hat is off to Mr. Bolger for designing this awsome
little boat, although I doubt my wife will let me take the boat out
alone!
