Houseboat Windows??

I have two suggestions for the Canadians who suffer from rock throwing window breakers.

Fit shutters on your windows to protect them. I like the bahama type that are hinged at the top and that have small angled slats so that when you push the shutter out you can see through the slats. Tip them in and secure them at the bottom to discourage visitors and rock throwers. Of course, someone who speaks Italian, like Peter L., of pizza overn-boat yard fame, could always install some "pursieounies" (sp?) that roll down at night to protect his property.

For $214 USD you can also get one of the Rossi all stainless steel gallery pump rifles in .22 caliber. These look nice, are a lot of fun for the kids to shoot and should survive OK in a marine environment. They are a direct take-off on a Whinchester model 62 with a safety added and should discourage rock throwers.
