Being a multihuller myself, I'd agree here. The Tiki 21 has
done a circumnav. Too small for my taste, but it was a safe and
comfortable trip for the solo sailer. I have never heard of a
Wharram capsizing. These are very safe, conservative cruising
cats not race boats. As different as a Laser and a Westsail.
Read Chris White's "The Cruising Multihull". I'm sure something
Bolgerish could be thought up but the Wharrams are proven ocean
voyaging boats.

Has anyone considered the Wharram cats? The Tiki 21 and Tiki 26 are
both capable of crossing oceans, more so the 26. These boats are
relatively simple, quite popular in England (So could be sold overthere
once you finished, or one could be purchased overthere sailed around
Europe and then back here!. These boats are stitch and glue, the Tiki
26 building time estimate is 700 hours, Tiki 21 some 400 hours. There
is almost no glittering fittings, way more deck space than a monohull,
can sail at speeds in the 8-12 knot range, respectable winward
performance, and could be built and fitted out with the basics for less
than $10,000.
