Yep, don't tel Rev Can (or CCRA) (IRS to our American friends) but by
a strange coincidence, an un-named company I'm assosiated with found
that it absolutely NEEDED to have all sorts of tools, woodworking
tools, that although used infrequently in automotive shops, it found
it couldn't do without.

About transporting your TIMS unit without a trailler. Why not build
it, with screws alone, no glue. Then dissassemble her and load it as
flat panels on your custome roof racks?
Then final assembly would just take a tube of caulk and 15 minutes
with a rechargable drill!

Looking forward to assembling a ton of TIMS units at the Kingston

I checked out the sketch you also did and I must say I do applaud the
laker smoke stack aft( great for letting out the smoke and heat from
some galley wenchs efforts). Also, the foremast seems to be missing
something......perhaps a boom/dereck type of thing for hoisting on
board the cases of 2 fours for quick and easy storage under the
foredeck. It really would be a shame if someone put his back out while
hoisting cases on board :-)
So,let's see...if just two others were to bring a section, then your
TIMs would be able to carry close to 14 crew.If the average crew
downs one beer/ half hour,that is 28 beer/hour total.Add to this a
nice average cruise time of four hours(two there and two to come
back),then that is 112 beers net. Add 32% for the marathon beer types
plus another 18% for the wannabes and we are now up to 175 beers or a
little over 7 case of 2 fours. And it gets worse......if the day is
really hot and sunny, add 27% and if there are impressionable damsels
lurking about, factor in close to 50% for bravado(or is it
machisimo?).Once again the ships manifest has increased now to an
intriguing 333 beers(or near 14 cases)! The saddest part is that we
haven't even got to the question of ice yet!
So,Le Baron de Kingston,we really really do need a boom off the
foremast,pleeeeeeease......:-) I may also need my head read after
this one but thats O.K,it'll be a short quick read!

If you're worried about stability, don't. Provided it's not overloaded, a 100' long by 4' wide boat such as this will have monolithic initial stability . It'll break up before it capsizes, IMO.

Christened "Timmy-The Littlest Towboat", she hit the Cataraqui R. at
8 pm on Canada Day, July 1, 2003. The paint was still wet and the
cabin was just a profile mock up. But she worked!
