Holy cow Blake I was taking a shot at my own grammmerr which is turgid
at best and would have caused an English teacher to grab for a red ink
pen while uttering little cries of pleasure.

Hi Harry, thanks for the constructive criticism. Sometimes I need it! Sorry
to have subjected you guys to the poor grammer. Tohatsu is a really good
engine, and I have considered buying one of their smaller outboards. There
is a link on the their website to an article about the only man to cross the
Atlantic with a Tohatsu engine. A world record of some sort. It's worth

Hi Blake, and welcome.
My elderly Honda 9.9 scaled 76lbs wet when I stood it on the bathroom
scales. I do not care to consider the possibility that I may weigh 24 lbs
more than I think I do :)
The relationship between the Bolgers and CSB has been covered in this
forum
ad nauseam: as close to a flame war as we civilised Bolgerados ever get.
I'd
characterise the Bolger / CSB relationship as 'somewhat adversarial'
Suffice it to say that CSB are not the Bolgers preferred source of
information.
Phil Bolger and Friends publish regular design commentaries in the pages
of
Bob Hicks' Messing About in Boats magazine. Subscriptions can be arranged
online through Chuck at Duckworks. Many of the older designs are covered
in
Phil's books. "Boats with an Open Mind" is still in print, and great
reading
(IMO).
The Bolgers can be contacted by fax or mail; the details are in the Files
section of the group. I have personally found them to be genial and
approachable; unfailingly polite even when dealing with my harebrained
schemes.
cheers
Derek
