Re: Happy fourth of July
Yes Peter!
I ORDER you to have a cold one too! But, I suggest in honour of our
US friend's holiday you make it a Bud, or Busch, or Miller, or if you
demand good beer, a Samuel Adams.

Sipping an ice cold Steeler (didn't think of the above at the beer
store, or I'd be quaffing a Sammy myself) made from the crystal clear
waters of Hamilton (Canada's Pittsburgh) harbour.

Just back from WINDERMERE and getting things ready all over again for
the back-flip to be performed tomorrow. And of course I'm feeling very
cocky about it since the first flip went so well.
Unfortunately, the forecast for tomorrow calls for rain and even the
risk of thunder showers so there probably won't be much need for lots
of cold beers.
Once the bottom is back up on the jig, the rocker supports on my
platform get removed and some serious plywood scarfing begins for the
fillet pieces.I've already got my master template made out of luan
and just waiting to be put to use.Once these fillet pieces are in
place, the entire bottom will get one more layer of glass etc....and
the hull /cabin sides get assembled right on the same platform the
bottom was sitting upright on.
It won't be long now before I can haul out my bulkheads to set them
on the once again flipped rightside bottom and wrap those huge
topside panels around her.....then she'll look like a real boat for
sure!
With so much fun and excitement going on all sumer long, it's a
miracle I don't get depressed in the dead of winter.....maybe it's my
Pesky Crews cooking that keeps me going:-)
At anyrate,my hands are doing much better, thanks to bandages, and I'm
primed for tomorrow!
Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan, getting thirstier by the minute just thinking about
it,from along the shores of the St.Lawrence.............

As I seem to recall, they're called a number of things in the US Navy..
Nonetheless, we ex-colonials thank you for your kind thoughts, and trust
your Canada Day went very well indeed! Now I must follow orders..

Happy 4th. of July to all our southern neighbors, and to a few
million in Detroit who live north of Windsor, Ontario too!
Have a cold one for me, ALL of you, that's an order!
And I'll take your 200 plus million beers hangover by proxy for you.
Have a great one.
