Re: BEE

These may be the Bee and Super Bee built by Steve Krzysko, Salem VA.
He sent me some nice photos but I sent them and some Hawkeye photos to
someone else and never got them back. If Steve is on this board he
would probably be happy to share his experience.

There were two, short paragraph, 'articles' in MAIB several years ago.
One was on someone building a 'Bee'. He mentioned how he would like to
have a 10 foot version - so he and his son could use it for fishing. The
second, maybe a year later, had a picture of the larger version.

Anyway, this is how I got interested in her. Later research indicated
that she was the 'Proof of Concept' for Bolger's very successful line of
box keel or 'Step Sharpie' designs. When the opportunity arose to get a
set of her plans, I jumped on it.

I wrote a complete, illustrated, article on how I built her for Chuck's
magazine, www.duckworksmagazine.com . If you can't find it, he may have
'purged' the Archives for more room. Let me know and I'll send you a
copy of my draft. If you have any specific questions after reading it,
let me know.
