Peter Lenihan of Montreal (currently slaving under the hot sun on an
all hand screwed Windemere! Don't bet against him in an arm wrestle!)
built and sailed one before his Micro. I don't think it was strip
built, but I could be wrong.
Peter should chime in soon, like myself, he can't resist a boat yarn,
in either laungauge.

I think Elver was the first set of plans that I bought but I never
built it. Back around 1980 there was one whose owner lived in Keene,
NH. I believe that he either wrote or contributed to an Elver
newsletter.

There was one built locally here in NW lower Michigan but as an open
daysailer (no cuddy). It may still be around though the builder has
evolved into a kayaker and threatened to emigrate to Alaska or other
parts.
In MAIB there was an article about a "pirate" version and its
adventures in the east of Canada. If you are interested I could search
for my Elver file scan it and send it off. I'm not sure I still have
it but if you want I will do the search.

Elver is a neat little boat. I bought plans for Elver years ago,
lofted it but for whatever reason decided to not build. I guess I
wanted to get on the water so bought a Precision 21 and built a
Hawkeye.
I still get out the plans every now and then and consider my options.
I think I was looking for a cruiser and found the Elver wanting. In
the event I never have cruised---always daysailing. I had all kinds of
modifications (that were most emphatically snubbed by Steve Redmond,
Mr Bolger he is not).
Frankly I wish I had decided to build it. Cypress and juniper sounds
great.

Take picture of Figi, shrink to 32 ft. Add a divers ladder to the
