itsy,bitsy teeny weeny Windermere up-date

After a week of rainy or threatening to rain weather,I have finally
scarfed, cut and dry-fitted the two forward fillet pieces which lay
along the box-keel and take some of the harshness out of the
otherwise righ-angle box shape. This dry fit allowed me to see a few
spots where some further shaping was needed to get them to lay fair
and to accurately locate a few fastening cleats which will come in
very handy when I set the fillet pieces for the last time in
epoxy. This should be all done by the end of this Thursday. After
that,I expect a weeks worth of sanding,fiberglassing,sanding,barrier
coat,primer and finally bottom paint.
Provided no big delays arise, the final flipping of the bottom will
then take place and this will coincide nicely with two weeks of
planned vacation time!During this two week period, the bulkheads and
sides will be installed. And who knows, maybe even the roof!!!
To celebrate the final bottom flip, a Bar-B-Q has been planned and
cold liquids will be provided. The usual suspects will be there,ie,the
Vercheres gang and anyone wishing to drop by to share in this
momentous occassion are all welcome! I'll keep you posted as to the
exact date when it becomes known:-)

Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan, really primed after reading of Pauls houseboat
progress.........
