[bolger] Re: February 15 MAIB - A keeper!

"Messing About In Boats"
29 Burley St.
Wenham, MA 01984-1942

$24US for 24 issues per year in U.S.
$36 US for Canada and oversees

I have a suspicion that the editor isn't an internet fan - the mast had gives
a telephone number (978-774-0906) ("There is no machine"). No fax number or
internet address!

I would add, don't get hung up about the publication date and delivery time
of each issue. They are sent by last class mail and delivered at the whim
of the postal service. I have several times gotten two issues in the same
mail. Although we subscribers are always anxious for a new issue, the fact
is that very little of the contents are time-sensitive. PHV

Send your check for $24 made out to "Boats" to

MAIB
29 Burley St
Wenahm, MA
01984

$36 for Canada and overseas. This is an *excellent* magazine, funky,
small, with amusing production values, but the only thing going for small
boats of its kind, and worth every nickel, at least twice over.

It's published 24 times a year, so the magazine is a dollar a pop,
including postage. Pretty hard to go wrong.

I try to remember to post the address and information on the
various lists a couple of times a year. In the immortal words of the
cashier at the Loretta Lynn Museum, when I expressed dismay at the price
of entry, "Eeeets woorth eet!"

Of all the stuff I read MIAB is always opened first when
it arrives and read the most. I wish SBJ was still around
to compete with it for my time.
