Bolger Study Plans

John, I think I have discovered my problem getting to Study Plans. My
provider has been migrating to a new server and somewhere in there my
yahoo messages were bouncing. clyde

Ask them to mail or fax study plans
to you, they are helpful.

No there is not... :(

Though with 700+ designs it
would take more than one book.

The still-in-print book
_Boats With an Open Mind_
has a chapter on the AS-29
and the Loose Moose.

Another option, is to look up
the edition of the magazine
Messing About in Boats which
featured the sharpie you are
interested in. Reprints of
that magazine are available
for cheap from the publisher.
Sounds like some aircraft engines. For them, the cure is to flood it, then
start as if flooded (fuel off, throttle wide open).

I think that's a choking issues.

My Nissan does the same thing. Try half choke, seems to make it want to start.

How do I go about getting study plans for some of Bolger’s designs? I’m
mostly interested in the Advanced Sharpies. Is there a definitive book that
deals with all of Mr. Bolger’s designs?

Thank you,

Frank

Hi Jamie

Did you ever sort out the starting behaviour you mentioned in your article
at Chebacco.com? As the owner of an [at least] equally ancient Honda I'm
interested in your experiences with it out there on the briny. FWIW, the
symptoms [starts well cold & hot but poorly having been allowed to cool to
merely warm] are similar to those I've had on old motorcycles - the gas
would get evaporated out of the carb by the heat radiating from the engine
as it cooled....

cheers
