Re: [bolger] Re: My S.O. wants a Champlain.

That's still not too bad. How much else does that price include? Electrical
systems and batteries, fuel and water tanks, MSD and holding tank, soft
goods, etc.

You'll spend around $3000-3500 for a 9.9 4stroke with controls, not
including steering.

I just wish it had four berths....

I was hoping for some reactions, maybe its an american build
prototype used in those ads,and you sure have to ad the
transport and the engine ,but it looks a real bargain to mee,
or is it the price for a to finish off boat?Lets wait if we learn
more. Best regards from Belgium
Stephan

This Champlain has been for sale for
awhile at that price.

It is a modified Champlain,
most notable deviations are
the ommission of the raised
floor in the center, which
means that all the extended
range items, like the battery
bank and the storage tanks
AC refrigerator are omitted.
Plus when sitting
in the seat/berths, you look
at the wall, as opposed to
looking out the windows.

The windows also appear to be
construction grade vinyl windows
as opposed to the 1/4" tempered
glass windows per PB&F design.
Hmmm, $32,000 (marked down from $59,000!) vs.
$11,000...

Same boat, wildly divergent pricing...

I'd think seriously about it at $18,000, but not at
nearly twice that.

Thanks for the offer, though.

John,

That champlain (appears to be the same one) was at
marine concepts in tarpon springs, fl. if it is still
there and you are interested, I could stop by and take
some pictures etc. as it is only a few miles from my
home.

me how to get in contact with the owner. I'll buy it...

Bruce,
Your S.O. has impeccable taste! Just don't let her get a gander
at WINDERMERE :-)......

Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan, who once fell hook, line and sinker for CHAMPLAIN but
was then offered a heaping plate of smoked salmon and so swallowed
the rod too, from along the shores of the St.Lawrence..........
If you call it a boat
building addiction,
then the 'enabler' comes
into play.

Over the weekend, my
S.O. was looking at
sketches and photos
of the Champlain, and
remarked at how cute
it was and how perfect
it would be for camping
in the Sacramento Delta
and lakes in the West.

Now, I am dreaming of
a Champlain.

First, build a model.
