Quite a lot under £20,000. From memory I think the owner's looking for £2000. From the picture it's quite a smart looking job. I don't give him or her much chance of making very much tho' - small boat sailers round here tend to go for class boats they can race (Wayfarers are especially popular, probably because they're used widely in teaching) and traditional-style craft. I'm not sure the JBC meets those criteria, interesting though it may be. Still, they might be lucky.

Here in the UK I haven't seen as many as a handful of Bolger-designed boats=
,
which I think is a great shame - the Black Skimmer would make a wonderful
boat for the Thames Estuary, for example. Maybe one day I'll build one or
have it built for me. Sigh.

Meanwhile, imagine my surprise when I found an advert for a Japanese
Beach Cruiser for sale in the UK magazine Buy a Boat for under £20,000.
The boat's in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, if anyone's interested, and the tel=

number is 01507 578351.

The ad says nothing about the boat's performance.
