Claus,
Thanks. Since you've just built a big one, I give more credibility to
your estimate than mine! :-)

Claus,
This is a big project. For something of this magnatude, Phil and
Suzanne can be very helpful in outlining the pros and cons of each of
thier designs and if you provide them with a wish list of requirements
that describes how you intend to use the boat, they might come up with
a recommondation. For instance, they might have a design that hasn't
yet been published that fits your requirements perfectly. I have
found them to be very receptive to this type of inquiry.
Another thing, if you are talking US dollars, I would estimate the
price for these boats to be much higher than yours, especially after
they are fully outfitted for cruising. I think there was a good
discussion on estimating costs last week.
I'd also like to see pictures of your Surfscooter project.

A fine list Claus,
And not an easy choice. Is it for resale at a profit, or for your own
use? For the canals and waterways of Europe it would be hard to beat
a Wyoming. For ocean or coastal cruising and occasional waterways use
the AS 39 would do very well. Tahiti? Tha'd be great for all uses.
Sockeye, I'm not familiar with, is it a Devlin design? By the way,
discussion of Devlin craft is "OK", as his craft definitely fall into
the category of "similar" to the PB and F design spirit.
If Sockeye is included in such a distinguished list, at a cool 80
grand, mind you, It must be a fine design too.
What the heck, build them all, I'll be right over after launching to
try them out.
A very jealous....

I have a Devlin Surfscoter (25 version) finished here in Denmark,
mainly built by my employers, its an unbelieveble handsome boat, if
anybody is interrested I will gladly sent pictures on mail, I don´t
think this forum is for a Devlin design, but I am so proud of the
result that I want to share it with other builders. The boat is
sold, my next project will maybe be a "summerresident" Tahiti,
Wyoming, AS39 or prior #1 Devlins Sockeye. I guees the total cost
for the boats is: Wyoming 30K. AS39 35K. Tahiti 40K. and final
Sockeye 80K. only guees but I am pretty sure its in that average.
Are there any Tahiti or Fiji finished or under construction?
Meanwhile I will construct a tender,(myself) Brick or Uncle Johns
