My S.O. welcomes boat models in the bedroom. :)

I guess I am lucky!
Often! With embellishments!

David,
God knows I am trying but it does get awefully cold here in just a
few months and WINDERMERE ain't exactly ready for living aboard just
yet.........although the thought of the"boys" buying ME drinks does
warm my heart and give an added dose of motivation toward getting my
model at least on the bedside night table!
Thanks for the encouragement......Pesky Crew will learn to hate
complete strangers now and probably try to keep me away from this
here computer:-)

Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan, beginning to feel a hint of the sofa tonight, yet
again, just because I like my model and use her to fuel outragious
dreams....should I tell my Pesky Crew that she is also in every one
of those dreams too?
Peter,

My advice is to persevere. Worst case, she tosses you out and you're
'forced' to live aboard Windermere, where your marina reputation will be
luminous as 'that fellow whose wife divorced him over his relationship with
a model'! Trust me, they'll be buying you drinks..

Lovely pictures Bruce.Build one out of some 1/8th luan at 1":1' with
the interior built in and you'll either drive your S.O. completely
nuts with anticipation or you'll soon be doing a model of
WINDERMERE,just in case you find you need more room.........:-)

Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan, who almost drove myself nuts after building a model of
my WINDERMERE............but my S.O.,aka PESKY CREW simply refuses to
let me bring the model into the bedroom......

HaHaHaHaHa.

Yes, I have, over and over and over,
and I keep coming to the same conclusion
that if I am to build another box boat
....it.....must.....be.....

Superbrick!

Full standing headroom, double berth,
large toilet room, sleeps four, full
galley, losts of storage space, large
cockpit *and* a disco deck.

I think I will name it:

Gratuitous Mockery

Alice? Mikkim?

Probably you should start from a needs assessment. Oh you did? The
need is to keep the S.O. happy. Hmmmm. I see. Yes, that makes a lot
of sense.

There is a substantial difference in cruising amenities between
Champlain and Merlin (the Marina Cruiser).

I am/was considering building a
Champlain, because my S.O. is
endeared with the ides of a cute
cabin cruiser. Still, looking at
the model, I keep wondering if
I might enjoy more the building
of a more traditional 'curvy' boat.

I keep dreaming about Yonder, if
there was only a smaller version,
perhaps the Marina Cruiser?

Champlain is a very pretty box.
nice job, Bruce. Can you do the Fast Motor Sailor in the same fashion?
Robert
