Re: 8 days to Kingston Messabout
My newly refurbished Hawkeye finally got into the water yesterday. I
idled out of the harbor at "no wake" speed and when I passed the green
light I floored it (figuratively) and continued idleing into the bay
at "no wake" speed. So much for the test drive.
I will be bringing the Hawkeye to Kingston engine or no engine. If I
have to I'll push it with my inflatable.

That's the spirit, forget paint and trim, just make it float.....

weeks. It's likely that the keel and rudder won't be done in time...
except that I might have next week free to blitz on the boat full
time. Still, drying and curing times may turn out to be the limiting
factor. It'll be close.

Chuck just put up my "Sunset Row in Kingston" article at
http://www.duckworksmagazine.com/r/new.htm
and it is illustrated with some photos that give a hint of why
Kingston is such a great boating city.
I'm lucky to live here, you'll all see why when you're here next
weekend.

Sue, get slopping and glopping, I really want to see the Single
Handed Schooner. Workboat finish will be fine, you can sand all
winter.
Speaking of workboat finish, don't run your hands, or any other part
of your anatomies alnong the TIMS project, it hasn't even SMELLED any
sandpaper.
