Re: Chebacco questions

Check the old Chebacco News. Fraser Howell and Chris Bennett built a
strip planked Chebacco. Fraser sent in some pictures and decriptions
that were posted in the News.

The hull is round sided like the lapstrake version, I'm not sure if
they used those offets or developed their own from the sheet plywood
version.

BTW, Chris now lives here in Victoria BC, he and I, with John Ewing
also of this list, just spent the weekend Chebacco sailing. Not in
the stripper, that's still in Halifax with Fraser, who is now the
sole owner.

Last time I talked to him it was still for sale.

With the 25' version for lapstrake, does Bolger include form
dimensions or does he just provide offsets?

I love the lines of this boat and think that a strip plank version
will be almost as good looking as the lapstrake without as much grief
as spiling and making all the planks for the lapstrake version.

I am also thinking about the above and stretching it 2 feet.
