Re: [bolger] Tyson's Bolger Boat Collection From Port Sorell,Tasmania,Australia

Of course I will post some drawings when I eventually get some myself, though if they're the usual full size plans getting them reduced to a scannable size may degrade their clarity a bit.

Just been scanning some photos of some of our Family's boats.Posted
them in the Photos section atBolger@yahoogroups.comunder the
name "Tyson's Boats"
All were built by my father,Bruce Tyson to a very high standard. He's
currently building a 15' Bolger designed "Harbinger" Catboat.I'll
post a few photos of the construction process as soon as I get hold
of them. She's about 3/5ths complete now.Mainly Bolger designs except
for a Chesapeake Light Craft Kayak and an Iain Oughtred designed
Clinker Ply Dinghy.
Bolger is currently designing me a fast "Torpedo" Sterned runabout
(Design name "Silver Blaze") Closely based on the "Snow Leopard"
concept/Model in BWAOM except that she'll be a bit smaller, 26'0" x
6'6" instead of 28'0" x7'0", and require less power, though if I can
get my hands on one(for the right price!) a Porsche Flat 6 Air
cooled motor will be the powerplant as this is Bolger's first choice
for powering this unique craft and will suit its image!, though he
stated in a recent letter that any "Ubiquitous make" of large 4
cylinder to Mid size 6 cylinder Auto Engine will suffice and if
water cooled will be dry exhausted and radiator cooled like any
automobile, therefore elimminating problems such as through hull
fittings, blocked water intakes, sucking dry when jumping off wave
crests etc.He says that "given proper ducting, etc. it is entirely
practical, with superior reliability and longevity."
There will be a few cockpit layout options as well as
power/propulsion options on the plans with a few Bolger
innovations!!!AS yet I haven't seen any drawings as Bolger has been
very busy and is slightly behind schedule with his workload!!!!.
Hopefully by Christmas time I might have some drawings or possibly
even the plans of this design.I can't wait.
