I have a response from Mr. Bolger on speed and seaworthiness of his sharpie designs. I won't type it all but he says "Lenihan's Points are all good, concerning the varying quality of amateur (and proffessional, for that matter) construction and of prudence and preparedness of crews."
He also talks truthfully about planing and rolling etc.
