[bolger] Power Snow Goose and PCB's availability

Stan,
sorry to hear about your problems. The only 'comfort' is that
sooner or later everybody gets 'whacked' by something, spreading out
the load of feeling 'personally' put upon somewhat. But SNOW GOOSE
should still be willing and able to entertain you anyway.
- As some have proposed, since you have it anyway, you actually should
have that keel under her belly for stability and tracking's sake; she
was designed to carry it and it is really quite shallow even in
'powerboat-world' and will offer superb protection against 'snags' and
other bottom-dwelling 'evils' Mark Twain mentioned in LIFE ON THE
MISSISSIPPI. Complete keel would make her more sellable in worst case
scenario.
- That 4HP outboard will be just fine, particularly with that gearbox
on the motor; she'll do hull-speed.
- As to bow noise, consider stuffing some cheap hard foam into that
acute angle between bottom and keel around the waterline, cut it to
shape between keel-and chine edge for a decent 'instant'-Vee just in
that 'chatty' location, with some more or less crude tapering aft as
shown on TOPAZ, SCHORPIOEN, etc. Throw some glass on it and you have
it quiet at night. Or do without that additional work and see how
'bad' it really is in your particular waters. For a quickie experiment
strap two 4-6" fenders in that location (eyebolts and line) to test for
degree of difference.
- MICRO NAVIGATOR (minus rig!)layout would seem perfect for your
purpose with 5'+ headroom under hatch in 'wheel'-house, good sitting
height for older spinal-cords, a glass-wall between you and that motor
(they are not bad though at part throttle), and two decent berths for a
'chosen' guest. Roof is big enough for a decent horn and
JCWhitney-catalogue cop-type searchlight. Closet-pole in mizzenmast
partners for flagstaff etc.

PCB@...works, Matthew. Thanks for the missive. It's us who are
slow and not always available for quick response. We'll get back to
you...

Ed Medalis, "that'll teach ya". We've done something like that as well
recently. We actually like 'hard FAX'for a 'private channel' as we
like to touch paper and a written record of essential communication.
Yaya, terribly 'stone-age' indeed. Sorry to hear about setacks. 'No
respect' referred to near total silence - "no wonder" some will say -
in regards to SCHORPIOEN. You may well have to be the one to
'out-radical' the (self-described) most radical/on-the-edge
multihullers out there. Yep, she's too advanced!
