I think their great in their place - like a point to attach bumpers, but I've had them break under strain on my 23 foot tri so I won't use them in any place where something important might give way.

I think their great in their place - like a point to attach bumpers, but I've had them break under strain on my 23 foot tri so I won't use them in any place where something important might give way.

Charles, I use nylon cleats on all small boats. They
are amazingly tough and light and cheap. I use
galvanized iron on the big boats, for the same reasons
(except weight). Sam
