I've seen a drawing for a gaff rig for Brick that must have a much shorter
mast. Doesn't it come with the Brick plans? I could look myself but I'm not
at home right now. It's true that the 16 foot mast is a bit of an
annoyance. A bit tricky getting it down the bulkhead, around the corner,
and into the basement. Especially if we have laundry hanging up down there.
In fact I've left it outside for quite some time and really should attend
to it. But on the car it doesn't seem to be a big deal, and on the water
it's great.
