Re: [bolger] to learn about epoxy, and fiberglass. boat making
Go tohttp://www.systemthree.com/index.htmland root around (literature?) to
where you fill out their form and can then download "The Epoxy Book." It's
free and good. It's in .pdf form. (I've used System Three for years, like
it, and appreciate Kern Hendricks help via rec.boats.building I got
started with one of their $20 Trial Kits.
Then go tohttp://www.westsystem.com/and root around some more to order
"The Gougeon Brothers on Boat Construction"
and order the video, "002-892 Basic Application Techniques." You may also
want the book "002-970 Wooden Boat Restoration & Repair" which I haven't
read.
While you're there sign up for and/or download their free publication
"Epoxyworks" a magazine about uilding, restoration & repair with epoxy.
Their literature is so good I feel guilty about using System Three, but I
have much invested in pumps, hardeners, etc. (System Three is 2:1, West
System is 3:1) Both seem to work well for boats.
