Re: looking for new boat plans

You might tryhttp://www.instantboats.com/which is Mr. H. H. Payson.
He sells several of Bolger's designs including the Chebacco which
sounds like it might be what you are looking for. Of course dealing
with Mr. Bolger himself as has already been suggested would allow you
access to a far wider choice of designs. Good luck with whatever you
decide to build.

Fax your wish list to Mr. Philip C. Bolger (978)
282-1349 and he will respond with suggestions.

Your wish list comes close to the Bolger designed
'Chebacco'. Also, you might look at the Bolger
'Micro'. These are the two most popular Bolger small
sailboat designs.
I'm not too sure such a web site exist for what you are looking for Mike.Other then Bolgers 5 books on design and his designs presented in MAIB,this may be the best place to at least flesh out your specific needs and hopefully one of the members will come through with just what you may be looking for.
So,tell us more Mike about your other"requirements"......where do you plan on sailing etc....

Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan

Trying to find the best place to pick a new Bolger boat plan. Where can I find on the web what the specs are for a sailboat about 16 to 20 feet on the water line. I am looking for a yawl rig, prefer unballasted but water tank ballast is OK, shallow draft, wide beam as trailer sailor would dare go (I think the limit is 8 feet,) out board rudder, stayless masts, outboard motor well, fore and aft sail-both loose footed. I would prefer twin dagger boards or two center-boards for balance, fore and aft rudders are OK, BUT never again will I have lee-boards, one boat experience with lee-boards is enough for me I don't care how much room they are supposed to save. The best method I have found so far is the sitch and glue so I would like to stay with that. I have more requirements so if you can help find the right boat let me know.
