Laminar flow is not a "laminar foil" or whatever was mentioned
earlier. It's also nearly impossible to achieve in small boat foils;
air is not water although they are both fluids, and boats are not
airplanes.

Foils designed to operate in laminar flow can fail catastrophically
in turbulent flow, which is why some airplane designs have turbulence
inducers on the leading edge. You don't want to suddenly lose half
your lift.
