Re: tender
Frank,
Neither the plans/plansets I've seen, nor the ones I've purchased
included "tender plans".

John

I built a Pointy Skiff for my in-laws. As you know it rows well. With a
4 hp and me in the stern the bow lifted too high at 1/2 throttle and
just drug water. There's too much rocker in Pointy to get on plane, at
least with 4 hp. This would be your same problem with the original
Brick, solved with FastBrick. Perhaps you should look at a design that
will suit you better.... Spell out your needs and someone will chime in
with a suggestion.

Does anyone know what tenders PCB & Friends have in mind for the Fiji, and
Tahiti? I wonder if plans for these tenders are included with the plans for
these designs?

After i got the message about the sides of brick are not to be cut
down, I regrouped and decided to build another pointy skiff instead.
Since i had already cut the side down i would have to start over
anyway. Now has anyone any experience with powering a pointy skiff?
Mine will be made out of 3/8 marine ply. and doug fir framing. my
other pointy skiff was used with oars only, and i really enjoyed
looking at it.The only reason i was going to build the brick was it
would fit on the top of the transom of a boat i intend to purchase
in the near future. My prior brick was used as a tender to my
tennessee very successfully. I made a straddle seat that is similar
to tortoises'. The pair were used to camp cruise around the boston
harbor islands for two seasons-lots of fun times. the brick is still
in boston and the tennessee is on the miami river sold to a new
owner. since i now live in st augustine fl, Im trying to put
together a new cruise package any hints/suggestions or comment on
the pointy skiff will be appreciated. thanx
