Re: [bolger] Re: So much for that picture...

My apologies to your son. After importing the photo to Photoshop and
enlarging it with higher resolution, it's obviously a fox.

I guess I thought "cat" because our cats' tails have been that size ever
since we got a lab puppy two years ago. (He loves water, so this is a
sailing related topic.)

It's 1/16th scale. I tried to scale everything, so 1/64" plywood
scaled to the 1/4" ply that the plans call for. It's available at RC
model type hobby stores.

The fox (my 6-year-old son would be devastated to hear it was
mistaken for a cat) was an extra from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" that
didn't make the unshrinking call. It can't sail worth a darn, keeps
laying down and chewing up the tiller extension.

I found it at
http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/bolger3/vwp?.dir=/&.src=gr&.dnm=Jerrych57.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/bolger3/lst%3f%26.dir=/%26.src=gr%26.view=t
but only after I'd gone to groups/Bolger3, logged in and then gone to
photos.

Making a tiny URL of it yieldedhttp://tinyurl.com/u209which seems to
work. (Go tohttp://www.tinyurl.com/paste the long one in and they'll give
you a short one. I'm not sure what happened to the log-in/password process
at Bolger3.

Oh, yeah. Nice model. What scale is it and just how big IS your cat?

My model is on Bolger3 in the photo section.

Why is it forbidden to view from here?

Here's a different address, maybe it will work.

Just thought I'd share my boat. It's a first step in what's become a
long process toward owning a boat that I can fit in and I've built
myself.

I built this model per Dave Carnell's plans. I added some
longitidunal stringers and an inwale. It seemed a bit fragile without
that.
