Re: [bolger] Re: ROSE Navigator

He surfaces! Kingston must be safe from road salt for yet another winter!

Welcome back Bruce. You need to see the new Bell family mother ship, all 27
feet of her. Sadly no cabin, but it is quite the pimp-wagon dayboat.

Bo'sun Bruce Hector
ARRRRRrrrrrrr, and a wee bit of rum for me matey!
A temporary file has be uploaded to Bolger3 with the above noted
title.

Given the 18" space allotment for each crewman it should hold several
hundred Bolgerados but obviously must be capable of
sailing "Shorthanded" nonetheless.

All lines will lead aft to the doghouse except for the self tending
jib that has been sketched in because there is already an 80 ft
bowsprit that comes with the boat.

The doghouse will seat about 40 crew or optionally roughly 800 cases
of Screetch.

Since Bruce Hector has some experience with sailing historic vessels,
namely the HMCS Bonaventure Aircraft Carrier in addition to the TIMS
and his own houseboat - he will be the captain.

With this new rig it should be quite practical for the Bolgerado
diehards to attend all the tall ships meets and if anybody gives us
any flack we will simpley blow them out of the water.

It is still being studied as to whether two T9.9 Yams will serve as
auxilliary power of if we need a couple of cheap China diesels on
saildrives? There will likely be two 6000 kwh gensets to keep the
refreshments cool and charge the cellphones for ordering pizza and
the other necessaties for life aboard.

Bruce Hallman will be in charge of making the modifications and
designing the poly tarp sails.

Peter the Pirate Lenihan of course will be responsible to keeping the
bottom in pristine condition.

Further suggestions welcome.
