Longitude
Haven't got to M&C yet, but if you like (what's the British equivalent to
Hollywood?)'s version of sailing, the movie (DVD) "Longitude" has some
wonderful scenes.
It's the story of the John Harrison, who developed the chronograph, and
includes some chilling tales of the consequences of not knowing one's
east-west position. Many sailing scenes including a fleet of three ships
maneuvering in formation.
I got my copy athttp://store.aetv.com/html/(search for Longitude). A
well-spent $40.
Roger (No, I have no commercial interest in this or anything.)
