Re: 96' eight masted TIMS schooner
You never quit.
I admire that.
Now that might add some unusual forces to your "Timmy".
You might end up with "Timmy The Snake".
But still, a great Idea.
I put a gaff schooner rig (only 2 masts)on a Folboat Supper years
ago, just to see if I could. Complete gaff and boom rig with a self
tendng boomed jib. All self tending so all I had to do was turn the
rudder. (and hope for no big gusts.)
All 3 Sheets in one hand. I think I figered out the term
"3 Sheet to the wind."
Good luck.
Some people would say you are Crazy.

At next years Kingston Messabout (the weekend after Labour Day 2004)
I'd like to ask all you intrepid Bolgerista Schooneristas to bring a
mast and sail, ANY mast and sail, to lash, clamp or bolt to Timmy to
make a new world's record for the most masts on a schooner. Whichever
is the tallest will be the aftmost to qualify her as a schooner. I
believe the current record is 7 masts.
Easy enough to beat! What?
Eight (or more) should not be a problem for this earstwhile group.
I'll make a lee or centre board and rig a rudder for our current 96
foot TIMS and we'll once again carve a spot in the record books.

Easy enough to beat! What?
Eight (or more) should not be a problem for this earstwhile group.
I'll make a lee or centre board and rig a rudder for our current 96
foot TIMS and we'll once again carve a spot in the record books.
