Hi Bruce, I was very interested to see your photos. You seem to be at
the same point as me.
You have chosen to run the forward control lines along the cabin top.
The plan version showing them hanging in rows inside, right across
your line of forward vision has less and less appeal. I am cleating
mine straight down onto the mast support, which means stopping to
make adjustments, ok for a weekender I feel.
How are you running your mainsheets and leech sheetlets? After
agonizing, I have fixed turning blocks on the rear rail, with the
ropes run to cleats fastened to the cabin entry sill, inside.
Good luck,
DonB

In the last few weeks,
more progress on the rigging
and got the cushions done.
And, yes, there seems to
be no end to the rigging!

Rick,
As Steve suggested look at Duckworks, there are photo stories about
several Microtrawlers, and in the brand new just released "BOAT REVIEW"
section there is a review of a Microtrawler.
Plans are available from Bolger. My guess is they are $200, if not $300.
Fax him to find out.
There is a chapter on Microtrawler in Bolger's book, "Boats with an Open
Mind"
There is a Yahoo group for Microtrawler at;
microtrawler@yahoogroups.com
And there is a guy who built a Microtrawler about 10 years ago who is
probably going to sell it this spring. His kid has outgrown the
Microtrawler so he's looking to build a sailboat. There are photos of
his boat on the Microtrawler group. (Don't tell anyone, I'm that guy...)
Or just ask questions here.

Hi Rick,
I may know of one for sale. I built a Bolger Micro Trawler back in 1995. I
stretched it 10 inches so that a minimal (48") 'twartships double could be
used. I used it for 4 years, had loads of fun. I then sold it to a friend of
mine. The current owner is on vacation right now, so it may be the end of the
week before He sees your forwarded email. I know he was thinking of selling it
last summer, but never got serious about posting it for sale. I will download
a photo of it for you to ponder in the meantime.
Bob
PS it is now light yellow instead of green.

Hi Rick
One of the best sources is duckworksmagazine.com. Chuck Leinweber
has an index section of boat plans which also lists builders sites.
He has various articles in his archives also. It may require a paid
subscription but it is money well spent.

Hey Gang, I'm looking for information on, builders/owners of, plans
for, and possibly to purchase a Micro Trawler. I am interested in
this little boat and am trying to gather as much info as possible.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Rick
