Re: [bolger] Marina Cruiser MERLIN

See my other posting in reply to the Keel/Tomb-disaster.

Merlin is still located at her mooring at Squeaking Point on the Rubicon River at Port Sorell,Tasmania, Australia. She still belongs to my father and its likely she'll remain a family boat for many years to come. My father (Bruce Tyson) is in the finishing stages of building Bolger's "Harbinger" design 15' 0" x 7'1" catboat from "The Folding Schooner" book.Hopefully she'll be ready to launch sometime in February for the last month of summer here.(though we often get better sailing weather in autumn through to spring- summer, while quite warm is often very windy- gusty sorts of breezes and a reef or two may be needed alot of the time.

I just looked at the File in Bolger 2 that has a couple of nifty
photos of Mr. Tyson's MARINA CRUISER MERLIN up and sailing very
smartly. That boat sure looks great under sail!

Perhaps Hugo could furnish us with some details as to how much
ballest is in that boat and where she is now.

I want one!
