Re: tennessee pic
The best Tennessee pics I've found, (and actually built as designed)
can be found here:

I realize why your using the tunnel and I like the Idea. On a sneakeasy, if one were looking to minimize draft, the box/cutwater could be brought to a point aft, just aead of the prop. This way the prop could stay close to the hull (shallow)....wouldn't have to clear the cutwater.

None have the box/cutwater. Neither the Wyo or Tennessee are designed with that option. As the Wyo, I installed the tunnel to get the sterndrive mounted higher to enable me to remove it for repairs without pulling the boat. I only needed about 4 inches to get the entire opening for the sterndrive above the waterline.

Jeff, Did you include the box/cutwater in either boat? I would think that such an addition would eliminate the temptation to install a tunnel on sneakeasy such as the one you added to Wyo.
Also did your (now sold) Tennessee have a box/cutwater?

I'm very intent on launching the Wyo and working out the bugs for a year or
so before taking off down the ICW.
On the flip side, I'm currently working on a Sneakeasy and hope to have it
completed before it warms up enough to work on the Wyo again. I have the
bulkheads assembled and have 1/2 the side panels glassed and epoxied. I
hope to start assembly the 1st of February and launch late April. Have to
get it out of the work space so I can work on the Wyo as soon as it stops
freezing at night.

Hi Chuck,
Take a look here.
http://www.ace.net.au/schooner/tenn.htm#start
One of Bolger's Books has the write up and plans for Tennessee. I
can't remember which one though it is not Boats With An Open Mind.
The Tennessee plans are a single sheet, not long on detail. But she
is a very simple boat. Elagent, yet plain. I saw one in use as an
Eco tour boat inKey West last week. Their web page, with a few pics
is here:
http://floridakeys.net/mangrovemistress/
Chuck Leinweber at
http://www.duckworksmagazine.com/
built and sailed a Tennessee for a few years. Contact him off his
site, his photo journal of it is offline and archived, but I'm sure
he can revivie it and send it to you.
If you've built a plywood boat or two, this should be no problem. If
it's to be your first, why not build a simple tender to tow behind
your Tennessee.
I like the Tennie too. Might have to build one someday.
Bruce Hector
P.S. Could you write in upper and lower case, ALL CAPS IS DIFFICULT
FOR MY OLD, TIRED EYES TO READ. Thanks.
Take a look here.
