Re: [bolger] Re: Common Sense/Bolger

I've got a set of unused Micro plans from Bolger that include the navigator
upgrade sheets, the new tall rig, that are very legible, and they are for
sale. $80 takes them. (Compared to $85 from CSB.)

Phil Bolger is somewhat 'old school',
and if I can put words in his mouth,
[I shouldn't and will anyway], the normal
way of buying plans from him is to fax him
a short note describing what you want out
of a boat, and he faxes you back a hand
written note with suggestions, and/or
his partner Susan Altenberger calls you on
the phone to discuss and refine your needs.

There is plenty on the WWW about Bolger boats,
this group, for instance, is is full of people
with free advice. Also, check out
www.instantboats.com which *is* an authorized
reseller of some of the Bolger plans.

If you are deadset on a Micro, good choice,
[I am building one now!] Fax Bolger, he
replies, mail him $150, he will quickly mail
you back a set of plans. One benefit of
buying from the designer is that you get
the right to ask him questions that come
up as you build the boat.

So if Common Sense is not the "official" Bolger website, what is
the Bolger website? I certainly don't want to buy plans that are
difficult to read.
